A Street in Lockdown features the stories of people living in and around one road in Hove, East Sussex during the Covid-19 outbreak of 2020.
People came forward to share their views with the podcast creator, Jane Vickers after she posted a message on the street’s local Facebook group, asking if neighbours were interested in recording their experiences of lockdown.
Either in conversation or self-authored, local people share their experiences of social distancing, adapting to a completely new way of life and some even suffering from the virus.
These, sometimes moving, accounts demonstrate how Covid-19 affected a group of people in one concentrated area. Each account, although unique, resonates with many across the world.
